When you mention the band Foreigner it immediately resonates with a laundry list of hit songs since the release of their self-titled debut back in 1977. With so much history the band decided to take it to the road to celebrate the 40th anniversary of that landmark album. It’s been 31 years since I last saw the band on the Agent Provocateur Tour. What I’m most excited about is taking my better half to see them for the first time.
Once the houselights went out, the stage came to life as the band reeled off “Double Vision,” “Head Games” and a song from their debut - “Cold as Ice.” The opening definitely ignited the rockers in the house before slowing it down for the all the romantics with “Waiting for a Girl Like You”. Everything sounding great just as you would expect from a band of this magnitude. Founder and lead guitarist, Mick Jones, is the only remaining member and after the first song he was noticeably absent. It seems that he is still battling some health issues that have limited from shows in the past. But as much as I would love to have had him tearing it up on stage he left his band in great hands.
