At the end of 2019 San Diego’s death grinders, Cattle Decapitation, released one of the strongest albums in the band’s storied history. Death Atlas explores the bleak outlook on the death and destruction of our planet at our own hands. Musically and vocally it’s a darker album yet still contains the band’s frantic and intense sound. Filled with interludes containing multi-lingual transmissions, along with spoken word pieces filled with haunting music and sounds, the record is angry and pissed while remaining emotional.
As the band began touring overseas, they couldn’t bring the live set back home to the States as the pandemic shut down the world. So after nearly 2 years the band was ready to embark on the “Death…At Last Tour”. Finally being able to bring their monstrous album to the live stage the band would tap the likes of Extinction A.D., Creeping Death and The Last Ten Seconds Of Life to hit the road with them. With all this firepower America was ready for one of the hardest hitting shows of the year, and Dallas was about to feel the crushing weight.
