It’s been just over a year since the current line-up of The Dead Daisies released the ultimate rocker Make Some Noise which is chock-full of arena shaking tunes that are just begging to be played loud. So when the band released their Live & Louder album earlier this year it gave a glimpse of just how big these, and other songs from their catalog, truly are. Well, the Gas Monkey Bar & Grill was about to have its foundation shaken as the band made their way to Dallas last month.
For those of you not familiar with the band let’s take a minute to get you acquainted with this rock n’ roll juggernaut. Co-founder and rhythm guitarist, David Lowy, started the band in 2012 in Australia. He previously recorded with Red Phoenix and Mink but TDD’s are his current priority. Vocalist extraordinaire John Corabi & charismatic bassist Marco Mendoza joined the band on their second release – Revolucion – which also included 2 tracks current drummer Brian Tichy appeared on. Completing the current lineup is one of my favorite guitarists, Doug Aldrich. The pedigree of this group can be summed up by a few of their previous bands: Motley Crue, Dio, Whitesnake, Blue Murder, Hurricane, The Scream, Thin Lizzy, Ozzy Osbourne and Foreigner, just to name a few.
